The Mathews Finger Set is designed to fit all Mathews and Mission bows, providing secure and stress-free tuning. Each finger features a durable ¾” aluminum base and adjustable thumb screws to match limb angles and reduce torque. The 1″ wide, custom fingertips fit all Mathews “Limb Support Caps” for even pressure. At the same time, the built-in Mission Cradle ensures compatibility with Mission bows that lack support caps. Ideal for everything from peep installs to complete rebuilds.

1. Product Overview
The Mathews Finger Set is a specialized finger set designed for Mathews and Mission compound bows.

4. Installation Instructions
Step 1: Remove Existing Fingers
-
Pull standard LCA fingers off the press pins.
-
Ensure your press has a 3” block kit installed if working with Title bows (wider limbs require extra clearance).
Step 2: Install Mathews Finger Set
-
Identify the offset direction of each finger.
-
Place each finger so the flat inside edge faces inward.
-
This ensures tips can move close together when needed.
-

Slide the four Mathews fingers onto the press pins.
-
Tighten thumb screws lightly to angle fingers slightly inward.
-
Provides extra clearance for highly parallel limbs (e.g., Lift).
-
5. Pressing Different Bow Types
A. Mathews Lift (New Limb Caps)
-
Limb caps are wide and shallow.
-
Insert finger tips into the half-moon cutouts of the limb cap.
-
Keep pressure on the bow while adjusting the opposite end.
-
Tighten thumb screws once light pressure is applied.
-
Safely press to remove strings/cables or fully disassemble.
B. Mathews Phase 4 (Mid-Gen Caps)

Limb caps are sleeker but have a similar function.
-
Insert tips into limb cap cutouts the same way as Lift.
-
Press as needed—fingertips stay fully engaged.
C. Mathews VXR (Original Limb Caps)

Older, larger limb caps.
-
Insert fingertips into the original half-moon cutouts.
-
Follow the same procedure as above.
D. Mission Bows (With & Without Limb Caps)

With limb caps: Use tips just like Mathews bows.

Without limb caps: Use the Mission Cradle feature:

Place the limb inside the curved cradle under the fingertip.
-
Press the bow as with standard curved fingers.

The Mathews Finger Set has been explicitly designed to fit Mathews and Mission bows. Each finger base is ¾” wide aluminum for better stability and pressing support. Adjust the fingers using included thumb screws so that the fingers match the limb angles and don’t cause any additional stress. 1” wide custom-designed fingertips fit all versions of the Mathews “Limb Support Caps” to allow for safe and easy pressing. Whether pressing the bow just enough to install a peep or performing a complete bow rebuild, these custom fingers make the process a breeze. As you press, the broad 1” fingertip width gives maximum support for the limbs to reduce torque. The underside of the fingertip includes the Mission Cradle to press certain Mission bows that do not have “Limb Support Caps.” The Mathews Finger Set is recommended for all Mathews and Mission compound bows.
