(5 customer reviews)

The Power Press Deluxe is designed for quick and easy setup of most compound bows. It is perfect for home and shop use and very simple to operate. Each LCA press model has a patented finger system that allows you to press your bow as if it is being drawn back. This design ensures that no extra pressure is applied to the limbs, and no torque is applied to the riser while pressing your bow. This model is controlled by foot activation, allowing for hands-free press operations and a more hands-on tuning process.

Unboxing Your Power Press Deluxe

Each Power Press Deluxe includes:

1 × Main press body (motor and hand wheel installed)

1 × Pivot bracket assembly

1 × Pivot locking handle

4 × Press fingers (2 per side)

1 × Draw stop finger

1 × Foot toggle switch with cord and plug

2 × Bench mounting brackets

4 × Lag bolts with washers

Mounting & Setup

Select a solid, level workbench that can support full press torque.

Attach the pivot bracket to the press body using the included bolts and washers.

Tighten all pivot hardware securely with a 9/16″ wrench.

Install the pivot handle and confirm it rotates freely but locks firmly when tightened.

Mount the press to the bench using lag bolts for permanent installation.

Use heavy-duty C-clamps for temporary setups.

Connect the foot toggle cable to the control port before powering on the unit.

Verify the press is level and the pivot rotates smoothly.

Motor Operation & Foot Toggle Control

Plug the power cord into a grounded 110V outlet (or region-appropriate equivalent).

Press the left side of the foot toggle to open the press arms.

Press the right side of the foot toggle to close the arms and apply compression.

Release the pedal to stop all motor movement immediately.

Use the hand wheel at any time for manual backup or fine adjustments.

Adjusting the Press Arms (Axle-to-Axle Range)

Pull each locking pin to slide the arms inward or outward.

Adjust both arms evenly for proper alignment.

Reinsert and fully seat each pin before pressing.

Important: Never adjust arm width under tension.

Installing & Adjusting the Press Fingers

Press the spring-steel tab and slide each finger into its slot until it locks.

Adjust spacing to match limb pocket width.

Use rear thumb screws to fine-tune finger contact so each sits flush on the limb.

Confirm even finger pressure with no twisting or side-loading.

Install the draw stop finger when working with limb-stop bows.

Pivoting the Press

Unlock the pivot handle before rotating the press.

Horizontal position: Best for tuning, string/cable replacement, and cam timing.

Vertical position: Useful for nock height and d-loop installitation.

Rotate to the desired position and re-lock the pivot handle snugly.

Placing the Bow or Crossbow in the Press

Use the foot toggle or hand wheel to open the arms.

Center the riser and rest limb tips evenly on the fingers.

Ensure all cables, cams, and strings are clear of the press structure.

Close the arms slowly until fingers make consistent, even contact.

Crossbow orientation:

Standard-limb — stock pointing up

Reverse-limb — stock pointing down

Pressing the Bow or Crossbow

Use the foot toggle to compress the limbs slowly and evenly.

Stop when strings and cables are slack enough for service.

Perform tuning, cam adjustments, or string/cable replacement.

Open the arms slowly using the toggle until limbs return to rest.

After Use & Maintenance

Wipe down the press to remove dirt and debris.

Lubricate the lead screw and pivot bracket lightly.

Inspect bolts, locking pins, and thumb screws for tightness.

Check the electrical cord and toggle connections regularly.

Store the press in a dry, protected space.

Troubleshooting

Motor won’t run — Unplugged or power issue → Check outlet, cord, and toggle connections, power supply, a green light should always run and not flicker or dim when pressing a bow.

Press binds during travel — contact LCA

Uneven limb pressure — Fingers not evenly spaced → Adjust thumb screws

Pivot feels loose — Pivot handle not tightened → Re-secure handle and check alignment

Vibration or noise — Loose bolts or dry threads → Lubricate and tighten hardware
