The Limb Lock Kit from Last Chance Archery is designed to make pressing modern over-parallel limb bows safer and more reliable. By keeping limb tips equal and cams stable, the kit ensures your bow remains supported throughout pressing, decompression, and restringing.

2. What’s Included

• Pivoting Press Heads – Adjustable to match limb angle.

• Support Rollers – Soft, flexible wheels that prevent slipping and protect limb finishes.

• Adjustment Screws & Knobs – For fine-tuning finger angles and roller extension.

3. Installing the Limb Lock Kit

1. Remove your standard press fingers.

2. Install Limb Lock heads onto your press arms.

   • Heads pivot automatically to match limb angles.

3. Use rear adjustment screws to fine-tune the finger angle.

   • Ensures limb tips stay equal and cams remain stable.

4. Slide heads in or out to match bow limb width.

5. Attach rollers by sliding them onto the arms and tightening screws.

   • Use the lower knob to extend/retract rollers as needed.

   • Rollers should sit just against the limb surface for safety.

4. Safety Benefits

• Full Limb Contact: Limbs remain flat against press heads during decompression.

5. Using the Limb Lock Kit

Pressing a Bow

1. Place bow into the press as normal.

2. Slide rollers until they lightly contact the limbs.

3. Begin pressing slowly—watch cam angles carefully.

4. Adjust finger screws until cams remain centered and stable throughout pressing.

Removing Strings & Cables

1. With bow pressed, unhook strings/cables.

2. Use provided clips (if included with your press) to secure strings and prevent twist loss.

3. Decompress bow fully—safe to remove from press.

Reassembling the Bow

1. Place decompressed bow back into Limb Lock heads.

2. Adjust rollers so they lightly support limbs.

3. Press bow until strings/cables can be reinstalled.

4. Reinstall in reverse order, ensuring all tracks and grooves are correct.

5. Slowly release pressure.

6. Double-check all strings, cables, and tracks.

7. Draw bow once before returning it to use/customer.

6. Pro Shop Notes

• Always confirm limb tips are equal before pressing.

• Clips are recommended to prevent string/cable untwisting.

• After restringing, always draw the bow once to verify correct installation.

• The Limb Lock Kit is compatible only with Last Chance Archery presses.
