1. Product Overview

2. What’s in the Box
When you open your VMP case, you should find:

3. Assembly
-
Attach Base Plate
-
Place the machined aluminum base on a flat surface.
-
Insert the nock receiver into its position and secure with screw.
-

Install Clamp
-
Attach the fletching clamp to the jig.

The clamp clicks into indexed positions for consistency.

Set Extension
-
Adjust projection (forward/back distance of vane from nock) by loosening the knob and sliding.

Re-tighten when correct.

4. Arrow Setup

Insert Arrow
-
Place the nock into the receiver and slide the shaft forward.

Tighten the end cap to hold the arrow securely.

Clamp Setup
-
For indoor setups, use a 3° helical.

Choose left helical (recommended for RH shooters — clears blade rest better).

Insert adjustment pin into proper L / R helical position on jig.

Tighten down clamp to hold setting.

Dry Fit Vane
-
Place vane in clamp using alignment marks.
-
Dry-fit onto shaft (without glue).
-
Adjust wire discs so vane base makes full contact with shaft.

Verify from front, back, and underside that no gap exists.
-

Lock Discs
-
Once alignment is correct, use included Allen wrench to snug disc screws.

Prevents accidental movement during fletching.
-
5. Fletching Procedure
-
Apply adhesive to vane base.
-
Insert vane into clamp using pre-set alignment.
-
Place clamp onto shaft and press gently to seat.
-
Allow glue to set (per adhesive instructions).
-
Rotate jig to next indexed position and repeat until complete.
6. Projection & Clearance
-
Ensure vanes are positioned far enough forward from the nock to prevent facial contact at anchor.
-
Contact between vane and face can cause tuning issues, right tears (RH shooters), or inconsistent groups.
-
Record projection number on jig once clearance is established.
7. Fletching Orientations
-
3-Fletch: Standard setup.
-
4-Fletch: 75°/105° or 90° configurations available.

Cock Feather Orientation:
-
“Feather Up” (compound bows).
-
“Feather Out” (recurves).
-
Adjust by repositioning detent nipple and re-securing receiver.
-
📌 Tip: Record all orientation numbers (projection, helical, cock feather orientation) for exact duplication when building additional arrows.
8. Wire Covers & Maintenance

VMP wires are protected with glue-resistant heat shrink covers.

Wipe wires with microfiber cloth between arrows to prevent buildup.

LCA VMP / Feather Abilities:
Currently the VMP unit can fletch certain feathers that aren’t super thick. The VMP is only advertised and recommended to be used with vanes instead of feathers. We have seen customers fletch feathers with the VMP and not have any issues, but at times if you are using feathers that are super thick it’s almost impossible to get them into the clamp / wires with the current design that’s built to accommodate vanes only.
All that said we (LCA) are working to build a new clamp that will accommodate feathers and vanes both. As well as increasing the length to 5” from the current clamp that holds vanes up to 4” in length.
We can’t promise when that clamp will become available, but we’re hoping by the end of the year. The new clamp will be an upgrade to the current jig, in meaning, when the new clamp becomes available it’ll just be an upgrade to our current VMP units. The new style clamp will be a separate (additional) item that you will be able to purchase aside from the VMP purchase. This means that everyone who has a jig already will also have the ability to purchase and use the new clamp with their older jigs. Any and all customers that buy VMP units new will have the ability to buy the new clamp as an add-on. Our VMP units will still be shipped standard with the 4” vane compatible jig
Last Chance Archery – Vane Master PRO & TAC Vanes.
We have received this question many times over the past few months. “Will the LCA Vane Master PRO fletch the new TAC vanes.” The short answer, absolutely!! The longer answer requires a few notes. If you’re looking to swap over to TAC vanes and you’re curious if the VMP will fletch those specific vanes, check out the bullet points below to ensure you know exactly what to do.

The TAC vanes have a very shallow / narrow base. Ensure you don’t apply too much glue or it will cause the base of your vane to sort of float on top of the carbon and it can cause much longer drying times or cause the vane not to adhere directly to the carbon. In this particular case, less glue is always better, as is true for most other vanes on the market. You want a solid stream of glue so that the entire vane surface is covered, but not so much that it over does it.

The TAC vanes have a very solid / stiff design overall. This is great for their function but it can cause the VMP clamp wires to push / pull on the vane as you remove the clamp from the arrow. The higher your helical setting is the more the contoured wires will pull on your vane as the clamp is removed. With most vanes, this isn’t an issue because most vanes on the market aren’t very stiff overall. TAC vanes have a much stiffer overall design (purposefully) than any other vane on the market to date. The one thing we recommend is giving your glue ample time to dry before attempting to remove the clamp after your vane has been stuck to your arrow shaft. You can also put your finger onto the backside of the vane, just as you first start removing the clamp, to ensure the wires don’t pull on the vane causing the vane to adhere incorrectly. If your glue has had ample time to dry, and your arrow was prepped ahead of time, this shouldn’t be an issue.

Using arrow wraps on your shafts can also help enhance the bond of your vane and can protect your shaft in the event you ever need to re-fletch. With an arrow wrap you simply heat the wrap to remove it and the vanes all in one simple step. Whereas if you fletch directly to the carbon you would be required to use a knife blade to scrape off the old vanes which can damage your carbon shaft if not handled correctly. Fletching in general, with or without wraps, is always best in conjunction with a good quick setting glue (like the LCA Fletching Glue) and a good cleaner / activator (like the LCA Fletching Activator).

Awesome Fletcher
Been fletching my arrows with this for years, it does a great job with consistently putting the fletching in the same spot around the arrow and with the nock control knob you can set the nock angle to primary vane. This is great for nock tuning as I know at that point all my arrows are starting at the same angle (if I change it).

Be very careful tightening the set screws on the discs, there isn’t a lot of material holding the two halves together. I just had to order a replacement, they are “upgraded discs”, hopefully so. I’ll own this breakage, just be careful.
Otherwise, most excellent fletching jig ever made.

All the option on the market in one!, 5 Star all around for JIG, but after justifying 350usd on a fletching jig to have the best, you’d think warranty would be the best! the warranty really disappointed me!! in order to get 2 tiny parts on clamp it was gonna cost me another $50usd,and every little tiny bit was charged for! and for me i cant afford another 50 on a jig! so that’s why I’m giving it a single star hoping it will help improve warranty for others in the future! sorry about the one star Great product!
