1. What’s in the Box

  • 1 Reserve Pro unit (with pre-installed bracket)
  • 2 Lag bolts
  • 2 Washers

Choice of Standard Bracket or Ultimate Bracket

Standard: Fits most LCA bow presses

Ultimate: Fits Ultimate EZ and Ultimate EZ Deluxe presses

2. Mounting Options
Option A: Table or Bench Mount

  • Visit the LCA website under Media → Instructions to view the mounting diagram.
  • Measure 2.5 inches from the table’s front edge to the back surface of the unit.
  • This ensures handle clearance.
  • Mark and drill pilot holes for lag bolts.
  • Secure unit with the included lag bolts and washers using a 7/16” nut driver.

⚠️ Tip: Drilling pilot holes prevents bolt breakage and ensures a snug, sturdy mount.

Option B: Bow Press Mount

  • Remove the front cap from your LCA bow press tubing.
  • Keep the cap for re-installation when the jig is not in use.
  • Slide the Reserve Pro bracket into the tubing until it clicks into place.
  • To remove, pull the unit out and store on a shelf or cabinet.

3. Attaching the String or Cable

First End:

  • Pop the locking pin from the wheel.
  • Insert the loop of the string/cable over the pin.
  • Reinsert the pin to secure.

Wind the Cable:

  • Release the wheel’s locking pin and rotate to wind most of the string/cable.
  • Lock the wheel again once aligned with the opposite end.

Second End:

  • Repeat the same process: remove pin, insert loop, reinsert pin.
  • Tighten the wheel as much as possible by hand, then lock it.

4. Adding Tension

  • Turn the handle clockwise to increase tension.
  • Continue until the desired pressure is reached.
  • Maximum: 250 lbs tension (when the handle is flush against the unit).
  • ⚠️ New strings stretch more, while older strings may require extra turns.

5. Re-Serving Process

  • With tension applied, place the worn section between the two wheels.
  • Use a serving jig to re-serve the section.
  • The jig provides plenty of clearance to rotate around the string.

If moving to another section:

  • Release tension by turning the handle toward you.
  • Unlock pins, rotate wheels to desired section, and re-lock.
  • Reapply tension with the handle.

Special Case: End Loops

  • To re-serve through the loop at the string end, create a tag line from the pin/wheel to the string.
  • This gives clearance to fully re-serve through the loop.

6. Applications

Re-serving worn areas (center serving, end loops, or cable sections).

Extending the life of your string or cable set.

Convenient field or shop repairs without replacing entire sets.

    Awesome but Disappointed

I actually love the item and how it works. However, upon opening the box and getting my new tool out to address an immediate string issue with my son’s bow, I learned that a hardware wheel pin was missing. Therefore, I was not able to address the issue on the bow string for my son. I called the office the next day and the gentlemen kindly said he would mail some pins out that same day. Today, (Feb. 5th), I do not have them. In my need I went out to a local hardware store and purchased a similar pin that is not exact but functional. I wish you folks had gotten right the first time.
