This kit features upgraded 3″ wide blocks designed for your LCA bow press. These blocks should be installed on any copper-colored LCA press. By upgrading, you’ll replace the narrower 2.5-inch blocks with the wider 3-inch blocks, which accommodate the latest, wider limb compound bow models on the market. Installing these blocks is simple and can be completed by following a few easy steps.
Lead Time: 3 week(s)
WARNING: If you own an LCA bow press, tightening the press block bolts periodically is essential. Loose bolts can lead to damage. To ensure the bolts maintain their full strength, they must be tightened. You can easily do this by removing the metal spring from the press block, revealing the two bolts underneath. Regularly checking these bolts to ensure they are tight is crucial for the safe operation of your bow press.
A properly tuned setup is the key to success in the field, and that means every component. At LCA, we engineer the most precise, reliable, and advanced tuning tools in the industry, so you’re always ready when it counts. The 3″ Block Kit exemplifies this commitment, and we’re continuing to advance our designs to stay up to date with bow technology.
The 3" Block Kit is built with a specific purpose in mind: to make things easier for the archer.
Built like a tank, you can fully trust that the 3" Block Kit will stand the test of time.
From raw material to final inspection, we hold every process to the highest standard because grade A performance demands zero compromise when it comes to producing each 3" Block Kit.
Innovation isn't just part of what we do—it defines it. We're redefining the standard for precision in modern archery. The 3" Block Kit is a highly innovative component used with a variety of LCA bow presses!
The Block Kit Upgrade is a new interchangeable system for Last Chance Archery bow presses. The block is the base where press fingers mount, and the new kit widens that base from 2.5 inches to 3 inches.
Some new compound bows have extra-wide limbs.
A wider base ensures the press fingers can spread far enough to safely compress these bows.
The upgrade also includes larger bolts (5/16”) for added strength and durability.
⚠️ Note: Not all archers will need this upgrade. For most bows made in the past 20 years, 2.5″ blocks are sufficient. Only very wide-limbed bows require the new 3″ block.
(2) Aluminum Blocks (3” wide)
(2) Nut Plates
(2) Spring Steel Plates
(4) Mounting Bolts (5/16”)
(2) Spring Steel Bolts
Flathead screwdriver
Torque wrench (set to 220 inch-pounds)
1/8” Allen wrench
5/32” Allen wrench
3/16” Allen wrench (T-handle recommended for ease)
Use a flathead screwdriver to pry out the plastic cap on the press end.
Heat may be required if the cap is stubborn.
Use a 1/8” Allen wrench to remove the screw securing the spring steel plate.
Use a 5/32” Allen wrench to remove the two mounting bolts securing the block.
Remove the nut plate from inside the press arm.
Take off the old 2.5” block.
Position the new block with the small hole for the spring steel screw facing outward.
Insert the new nut plate inside the press arm:
Narrow side faces forward.
Dimple faces outward.
Insert the new 5/16” bolts through the block into the nut plate.
Push the block all the way forward before tightening.
This creates clearance for accessories like the LCA Draw Board.
Tighten bolts with a 3/16” Allen wrench until snug.
Final torque bolts to 220 in-lbs with a torque wrench.
Attach the wider spring steel plate with the 1/8” Allen wrench.
Reinstall the plastic cap.
Perform the exact same steps for the second press arm.
Ensure both blocks are aligned and tightened correctly.
Press down on the spring steel plates and reinstall the press fingers.
The 3” blocks allow wider maximum spread while still narrowing to the same range as the original 2.5” blocks.
Confirm both blocks are secure and evenly installed.
Verify press fingers move freely and achieve the wider spacing needed.
Your press is now ready to handle bows with wider limb designs.
Upgrade applies to all copper or brown-colored presses that use aluminum machine-mounted blocks.
For EZ Green or Pack-N-Go presses, a different pin kit upgrade is available.
As of late 2023, all new presses are being manufactured with 3” blocks as standard.
This kit includes upgraded 3″ wide blocks for your LCA bow press. Install these blocks onto any LCA press that is copper in color. By upgrading, you’d remove the narrow 2.5″ blocks and install wider 3″ blocks to help accommodate wider limb compound bow models hitting the market. Interchange the blocks easily by following a few simple steps. See the instructional video below!
If you have any LCA Green or Pack-N-GO Bow Press models, purchase the 3″ Pin Kit instead of the 3” Block Kit.
WARNING:
If you have an LCA bow press, always periodically tighten the press block bolts. If the bolts holding the blocks onto the bow press are loose, it can cause the bolts to become damaged. For the bolts to have full strength, they must be tight. You can tighten the bolts by removing the metal spring from the press block. The two bolts will become visible once you remove the spring. It’s crucial to check these bolts periodically to ensure they are tight.

4 – 5/16 mounting bolts
2 – Springsteel mounting screws
2 – Nut plates
Features:
• Wider base to accommodate wider limb bows

Great product, very easy to switch out with the old kit!
The best upgrade!!!
The block kit allows me to safely get the fingers lined up on the limb. This works for all bows. If you have a newer Mathews bow this is a must! Don’t forget the Mathews fingers!
