Product Overview
The Second Axis Upgrade allows you to retrofit your Last Chance Archery press with a new pivoting mechanism for improved adjustment and accuracy. This guide walks you step-by-step through removing the old parts and installing the new upgrade.
1. Tools Required
- 3/8” wrench or socket
- Allen wrench (for set screws)
2. Installation Instructions
Step 1: Remove Back Bolts
- Using a 3/8” wrench, remove the bolts on the back of the press.
- Set the press aside once the bolts are removed.
Step 2: Remove Handle.
- Take the handle off the top of the pivot assembly
Step 3: Remove Old Collar
- Loosen the set screws on the back of the existing “helicopter blade” style collar.
- Slide the collar out of place.
Step 4: Install New Second Axis Collar
- Insert the new second axis collar into position.
- It may take light pressure or adjustment to align it fully.
- Once seated, slip the collar completely into place.
Step 5: Tighten Set Screws
- Re-tighten the set screws firmly to lock the new collar in place.
Step 6: Reinstall Handle
- Slide the handle back onto the pivot assembly.
- Tighten securely.
Step 7: Reattach Back Bolts
- Replace the 3/8” bolts and nuts at the back of the press.
- Tighten them down as firmly as possible to ensure stability.
Completion
Once the bolts are tight, the handle is secure, and the set screws are snug, your Second Axis Upgrade installation is complete. Your press is now ready to use with enhanced precision.
