FlightCheck – Floor Stand Assembly & Setup Instructions

Package Contents

Each FlightCheck – Floor Stand kit includes:

1 qty. Main frame leg

2 qty. Base legs

1 qty. Base cross piece

8 qty. (1/4″) Bolts

8 qty. (1/4″) Nuts

4 qty. Adjustable nylon leveling feet

Tools Required

7/16″ wrench
5/32 hex key

Pre-Assembly Preparation

Select a flat, open area with at least 12 feet of clearance in front of the stand for shooting.
Unpack and verify that all parts listed above are included.
Ensure the FlightCheck frame is detached from any other mount before beginning assembly.

Assemble the Base

Lay the main (long) frame leg horizontally on the ground. That’s the last piece you will attach to the base.
Position the two base legs on the ground side by side.
Lay the base crosspiece between the two base legs. The machined slot in the base crosspiece aligns with the longer sides of the base legs.
The reiterate, the longer part of the base legs face towards the shooter. The machined slot in the base cross piece faces in the same direction as the longer part of the base legs.
Align the pre-drilled holes on each base leg with the corresponding holes in the crosspiece.
Insert the bolts and tighten down the nuts, assembling the base by hand first.
Once both base legs are secured to the crosspiece, use the listed tools to tighten all bolts and nuts to the appropriate torque.
Align the main frame leg with the machined slot on the side of the base cross piece.
Insert the bolts and tighten the nuts, attaching the main frame leg to the base crosspiece, which completes the base assembly.

Install the Nylon Leveling Feet

Thread each nylon leveling foot into the base legs from the underside.
Adjust each foot until the stand is perfectly level and stable on your floor.

Attach the FlightCheck Frame

Align the mounting holes at the top of the main frame leg with the receiver holes at the base of the FlightCheck frame.
Slide the frame into position and secure it with bolts and nuts.
Ensure the tool holder faces the shooter.
Tighten until snug—do not overtighten.
The frame should feel solid with no wobble when in use.

Final Alignment & Use

Verify that the FlightCheck frame is vertical and centered at approximately chest height for the shooter.
Adjust the nylon feet as needed to fine-tune leveling and balance.
Load FlightPaper and position your shooting line about 12 feet away for accurate tuning results.
The stand’s balanced design prevents tipping during use.

Maintenance & Storage

Keep bolts snug; check periodically for tightness.
Wipe the aluminum tubing with a soft, dry cloth when cleaning.
Avoid exposure to moisture; store in a dry, upright position.
The stand can be disassembled quickly by hand for travel or compact storage.
Clean nylon feet before storage to prevent thread wear or cross-threading.

Safety Notes

Ensure the stand is positioned on stable, level ground before use.
Do not lean or hang on the FlightCheck frame.
Always verify that the shooting area behind the paper tuner is clear and safe.
Avoid placing the stand on uneven, soft, or unstable flooring.
