FlightCheck

From: $289.00

Paper tuning shouldn’t be a chore—it should be simple, accurate, and efficient. The FlightCheck was designed from the ground up to eliminate the frustrations that make paper tuning a headache. No more shooting through the same hole without a reference point. No more guessing which way to move your rest. No more digging for tools or fighting with loose paper.

The FlightCheck streamlines the process entirely. With two integrated bow holders, a built-in tool tray for Allen wrenches and markers, and a custom roll of FlightPaper, everything you need is right at hand. Rubber rollers with adjustable tension allow you to wind fresh paper across the frame without ever having to put your bow down. Let the FlightCheck handle the hassle so you can focus on results.

Each roll of FlightPaper is built for clarity, producing crisp, visible tears that expose every detail of your arrow’s flight. Each roll offers ample space for repeated shots. Custom-printed aiming dots and built-in tuning instructions guide the process, making every session faster, more accurate, and more consistent.

Every FlightCheck arrives pre-assembled and includes one roll of FlightPaper. For added versatility, optional add-on accessories include a floor stand, wall mount, and vise mount. The vise mount integrates seamlessly with the Revolution Vise clamp.

FlightCheck Paper Tuner – Production Assembly & Setup Instructions

What You’ll Need

FlightCheck Paper Tuner (Item #: FTC1001)

Package Contents

Each FlightCheck package includes:
Pre-assembled FlightCheck Frame
FlightPaper Roll (includes 4,746 printed shooting dots)
Rubber Rollers with adjustable paper tension
Rubber-Coated Bow Holders (integrated)
Built-in Tool Tray
Tripod Mount & Ceiling Suspension Points

Important Notes:

Each customer is responsible for tripid mounting. Every tripod is different. The FlightCheck features a 3/8″ mounting hole, allowing you to attach the unit to your tripod. However, the mounting hardware must be purchased separately to match your tripod. Most would use the stud on the tripod, slide the FlightCheck on the tripod stud, and then tighten it down using a nut with the same thread pitch as the tripod mounting stud.
Ceiling suspension rope, cord, or cable not included.

Tools Required

None for standard use
Optional: Allen wrench or drill (for wall, vise, or stand mount installation)
If you purchase a FlightCheck Mount, refer to the specific mount’s product page for instructions particular to that mount.

Pre-Installation Checklist

Select a safe tuning area with a solid backstop (free from obstructions behind the target).
Ensure a minimum 12-foot shooting distance for accurate tuning results.
Confirm the frame sits securely on its mount, floor stand, or ceiling hang point before use.

Assembly & Mounting Options

The FlightCheck arrives fully assembled. Depending on your workspace, choose one of the mounting configurations below.

Tripod Mounted

Remove the unit from the packaging.
Mount the frame to the tripod using your specific connection hardware (not included).
Place the tripod on stable ground and ensure the legs are level.
Adjust the tripod height until the center of the paper is at arrow level with your bow at full draw.
You can adjust the entire frame up/down using the tripod until you reach a desired height.

Ceiling Suspension Setup

Use the integrated suspension points located on the top of the frame.
Attach a suitable hanging cable, rope, or cord (not included).
Level the frame to ensure the paper feed runs horizontally.

Operation

Refer to the instructions further down the page for installing FlightPaper into the FlightCheck frame.
Verify the paper is taut and free of wrinkles.
Stand approximately 12 feet from the FlightCheck.
Shoot through the paper, aiming at one of the printed dots.

FlightPaper – How to Load Paper into the FlightCheck

Note: FlightPaper can be used with either a DIY paper tuner or the FlightCheck paper tuner.

What You’ll Need

FlightCheck Paper Tuner (Item #: FTC1001)
FlightPaper Roll (Item #: FPR1001)

Prepare the FlightCheck

Place your FlightCheck on a stable surface (tripod, floor stand, vise, or wall mount).
Remove the pins from below the rubber rollers to allow them to open/close.
Remove the paper from between the rollers. Press down on the lower roller to open the gap and remove the paper from between the rollers.
Remove the plastic bow holder cap that’s installed on the end of the roller rod.
Remove the rod holding the old paper roll on, keeping in mind the orientation and placement of the pieces and components.
Put the Delrin bushings on each end of the new FlightPaper roll.
Position the new roll of FlightPaper in the exact location at the top of the FlighCheck, and then slide the stainless rod back through all the components and the new roll.
Reinstall the outside rubber bow holder cap.
Ensure the new roll is centered on the stainless steel rod.

Remove Tape & Orient the Roll

Carefully remove the tape securing the FlightPaper roll—do not cut into the paper.
Do not discard the first wrap; this will serve as your lead edge.
Orientation: The printed aiming dots and tuning instructions must face the shooter when the roll is loaded, and you unwrap the paper.
Ensure the roll will feed downward and forward across the tuning window.
The roll will open, lay over the crossbar, and then feed downward towards the bottom of the FlightCheck frame near the rubber rollers.

Thread the Paper Through the Rollers

Pull down the movable rubber roller and insert the silver pin that locks the roller open. Do this on both sides. This opens the rollers, allowing you to install the paper with ease.
Pull the leading edge of the paper downward from the top roller.
Feed it between the upper and lower rollers so it travels smoothly across the tuning window.
Once the paper is between the rollers, with a few inches through, push down on the roller, remove the pin, and let the rollers clamp down on the paper. Do this on both sides. Once done, pull down on the roller and gently pull on the paper to help straighten it if needed after pressure is applied. You can pull down the roller on either side, shimmying the paper as is necessary to get it perfectly straight inside the rollers.

Adjust Paper Tension

Adjust the tension using the tension adjustment screws located at the bottom of the FlightCheck frame. First, tighten the tension adjustment screws, and then rotate the handle to apply paper tension. Ensure the paper is smooth.
The paper should feel firm when tapped but still be able to advance by hand with steady pressure.
Avoid overtightening—too much pressure may cause wrinkles or tears in the paper during shooting.

Verify Alignment

Printed dots face the shooter.
The paper is centered and smooth (no ripples or sag).
The window area is fully covered by paper.
The frame is stable and level.

Advance Paper for Fresh Targets

After each shot group, turn the roll or gently pull the free end downward to advance new target dots into position.
Replace the roll once the current one is fully used.

Pro Tips

Keep the paper tight for the cleanest tear results.
Each roll includes 113 target templates with 42 aiming dots, totaling 4,746 shootable dots.
Advance paper in small increments to maximize roll life.
Store rolls upright and in a dry area to prevent curling and maintain a consistent feed.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Paper wrinkles or sags
Solution: Tighten both tension screws against the FlightCheck rollers, and then rotate the handle until the paper is tight.

Issue: Paper drifts to one side
Solution: Remove the spring-loaded pressure, center the roll in the cradle, add tension to the paper, and reapply the tension.

Issue: Paper slips while shooting
Solution: Add more tension to the springs that add pressure to the roll. There are notches for the spring pins, allowing you to add more pressure as the paper roll becomes smaller. When more spring tension is added, rotate the handle to add additional tension to the paper. This ensures an overall tight system with little to no movement.

Issue: Printed dots face away from the shooter
Solution: Reverse the roll orientation and reload into the FlightCheck frame.
