Power Press

From: $825.00

The Power Press is designed for quick and easy setup of most compound bows. It is perfect for home and shop use and very simple to operate. Each LCA press model has a patented finger system that allows you to press your bow as if it is being drawn back. This design ensures that no extra pressure is applied to the limbs, and no torque is applied to the riser while pressing your bow.

Unboxing Your Power Press

1 × Main press body (motor installed)

2 × Adjustable press arms with sliding finger blocks

4 × Press fingers (2 per side)

1 × Draw stop finger

1 × Thumb toggle switch with power cord

2 × Bench mounting brackets

4 × Lag bolts with washers

Mounting & Setup

Choose a sturdy workbench that is level and capable of supporting full press load and motor torque.

Attach the mounting brackets to the press base using the supplied bolts and washers.

Permanent installation uses the included lag bolts and washers.

Temporary setup uses heavy-duty C-clamps; confirm tightness before every use.

Connect the thumb toggle cord to the motor control port before plugging in power.

Verify that the press is level and stable before inserting a bow.

Motor Operation & Thumb Toggle Control

Plug the power cord into a grounded 110V outlet (or appropriate regional equivalent).

Push the toggle forward to open the press arms.

Pull the toggle backward to close the arms and apply limb compression.

Release the toggle to stop the motor immediately.

The motor always stops when the toggle returns to neutral.

Always watch the bow during operation — never operate blindly.

Installing & Adjusting the Press Fingers

Press the spring-steel tab and slide each finger into its slot until it locks.

Adjust spacing to match the bow’s limb pocket width.

Use the rear thumb screws to fine-tune contact until each finger sits flush against the limb.

Ensure all four fingers apply equal pressure and the bow is centered.

Install the draw stop finger as needed for limb-stop bows.

Placing the Bow in the Press

Use the toggle to open the arms until enough clearance is available.

Center the bow so both limb tips rest evenly on the fingers.

Ensure strings, cables, and cams are clear of the press body.

Close the arms slowly until all four fingers make even contact.

Stop once the bow is evenly seated before applying compression.

Pressing the Bow

Pull the toggle backward to compress the limbs.

Stop once string and cable tension is relieved for maintenance.

Perform any tuning, timing, or string/cable work.

Push the toggle forward to release tension slowly until limbs return to rest.

Warning: Always release tension gradually — never fast or uncontrolled.

After Use & Maintenance

Wipe the lead screw and arms to remove debris.

Check all bolts, pins, and thumb screws regularly.

Inspect toggle cord and motor housing for signs of wear.

Store indoors in a dry, clean environment.

Troubleshooting

Motor won’t run — Power cord unplugged or faulty outlet; check power supply, a green light should stay on and not dim or flicker when pressing a bow.

Press binds during travel — Contact LCA

Uneven limb compression — Fingers not evenly spaced; adjust thumb screws.

Excess vibration or noise — Dry lead screw or loose hardware; lubricate and tighten hardware.

Motor runs but arms don’t move — Loose drive coupling; re-secure motor-to-shaft connection, gear broken.
